First Post: Egg Freezing!

This morning while I was teaching one of my comp sci labs, I had to hop on a phone call with the DFW Fertility Clinic.

TIL my chemo treatment is going to age the one ovary I have left by 10 years! That means after treatment my ovary is going be like 30 years old. The risk of me losing my fertility is low but it's not zero.

After going through with my mass removal surgery and not knowing whether I'd wake up able to have my own kids in the future, I don't want to play that guessing game again. Right now, I am seriously considering going through the process of freezing my eggs, especially because a lot of women opt to get this done whether they're in my position or not, so I'm thinking it's a good idea to take advantage?? The downside is it will delay my chemo start date by almost 2 weeks and my doctor wants me to get started as soon as possible.

I have to look after my ovary achiever and give her the best chance in the future! We'll see what happens.
