First Day of Chemo Success!

It’s almost 1 in the morning as I write this, I just finished my homework for the night!

My treatment took me around 4 hours to do (11am-3pm), and let me tell you, this port is going to be so convenient for chemo weeks. They let me keep the access tube in so I don’t have to get poked again tomorrow. Imagine getting an iv put in 5 days straight, ew.

I’m in McKinney for the week so my family can take care of me if I get any intense side effects. The only thing I felt today was fatigue. I had so much work planned (including attending online classes) for when I was getting my treatment done, but I slept through the whole thing! I blame it on the heated massage chair they had me in. I figured I’d get it done back at home but then I fell asleep again, hence why I just finished. I’m glad I don’t feel awful today, just tired, and one can only hope this is the norm for the rest of my treatment.

Goodnight!
